National Institute of Biological Sciences, Beijing (NIBS) is located in Zhongguancun Life Science Park, northeast of the crossing of Beiqing Road and Badaling expressway, adjacent to Beijing Aerospace City.
Situated on a 42,258-square-meter campus, NIBS’s main building totals 32,296 ㎡, including Research Building (18,498 ㎡, with 4 floors above ground and 1 layer underground) and Office Building (7,558 ㎡, with 3 layers above and one layer under ground).
The first floor of Office Building (2,185 ㎡) houses central hall, auditorium, gym; On the second floor (1,287 ㎡) are classrooms, conference rooms, and library; On the third floor (810 ㎡) lay administration offices; While the underground floor houses cafeteria and parking lot.

Research Building consists of 4 floors above ground and 1 floor underground.
The area of each laboratory is 270 ㎡, and contains a bench section of 150 ㎡, enough for 20～30 people to work together, an Instrument Room, and office section.
